December 2008

I don’t have much to say today (that’s not really true…I have alot I  want to say,  but little time to say it) so I thought I’d post some images I took this morning in my backyard.dscn1882Icy remnants of our strawberry patch.

dscn1878A frost-kissed rose still on the bush.

dscn1885The beautiful fall-colored leaves of our neighbor’s evergreen pear tree.

Here it is the second week of December and we still have leaves on the trees; we need a good hard rain to really usher in winter in this neck of the woods…it doesn’t look like it is coming any time soon.

Compare it with Gilgamesh’s attitude toward death.

The only book within my sight or arm’s reach was The Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Literature …we must be homeschoolers!
